According to the Ministry of Finance, the meeting of the annual plan coordination committee has been called on June 2 in relation to the budget of the financial year 2024-23 and the meeting of the National Economic Council will be held on June 3, which will be chaired by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, in which the new financial year The budget targets will be finalized, the provincial authorities will also participate in both the meetings, during which the National Development Program for the new budget will be reviewed.

According to the Ministry of Finance, 700 billion rupees have been proposed for the federal development program in the budget of the next fiscal year, but the Prime Minister can increase the federal development program to one thousand billion rupees. The Ministry of Finance says that the total budget of the next fiscal year The volume is proposed to be more than 14,600 billion and committees have also been established to provide relief to the people in the budget.

Apart from this, the economic growth target for the next year is proposed to be more than 3 percent while the current fiscal year GDP growth is estimated at 0.29 percent.
