"Hoy Tum Ajini"

You are a stranger

Our friend and brother Kamran Shahid's movie "Hoy Tum Ajini" has created a lot of buzz these days. This is a romantic comedy film but it revolves around the tragedy of 1971 when Pakistan fell. Kamran Shahid also has his show on Dunya TV at 8 pm but he took enough time to write the story of this film and then direct it. His father and yesteryear superstar Shahid also played an important role in the film.

The direction of the son and the acting of the father have given a unique color to the film. From the point of view of production, this film is very good, but care has not been taken while portraying some events. It will be said that this film is directly related to a critical moment in our history.

Half a century has passed since the tragedy of East Pakistan in 1971, but watching the film, we feel that we are still misrepresenting our future generations. I am surprised that General Qamar Javed Bajwa took great interest in the making of this film. Lee, used to give long lectures to improve relations with India, but why did he never think of improving relations with Bangladesh? The real history of the tragedy of East Pakistan is hidden in the report of the Hamud-ur-Rehman Commission, but the report of this commission It is ignored because the role of General Rani in this report is embarrassing.

Sohail Ahmed, Mehmood Aslam, Shafqat Cheema, Samina Pirzada, Ayesha Umar, Shimoun Abbasi, Adnan Haider, Ali Khan, and Mikal Zulfikar acted very well in the film, but if this film was kept a little closer to the historical facts. This film could have played an important role in bringing Pakistan and Bangladesh closer.

Dear brother Kamran Shahid is requested to make a film on this subject in the future, then study the case of Maulvi Tamizuddin before writing the story. What was done to bring the petition to the higher courts, but Lahore Chief Justice Muhammad Munir crushed the dreams of Quaid-e-Azam by inventing the theory of necessity. In the movie "Hoytam Ajini", Mahmood Aslam played the role of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. What is it?

It was Sheikh Mujibur Rehman who supported Quaid-e-Azam's sister Ms. Fatima Jinnah against General Ayub Khan in the presidential election of 1965 and was his chief polling agent. Sheikh Mujibur Rehman had won Ms. Fatima Jinnah from Dhaka but In Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, and Quetta, Quaid-e-Azam's sister lost to General Ayub Khan. When he became the federal law minister in 1962, on the orders of General Ayub Khan, he requested the Bengali politicians to leave Pakistan, but the Bengalis said we will not leave Pakistan, you leave Pakistan.

Now the book of our elder Ahmed Saleem "My Land, My People" has also been published. Ahmad Salim is not only a journalist and historian but also a Punjabi language poet. In 1971, he strongly condemned the military operation against the Bengalis and wrote a poem in Punjabi against this operation. He says in his book that in March 1971, my poem When I came forward, I was arrested. When he was being arrested, his four-year-old niece asked her mother why the police had arrested her uncle. The mother replied to her daughter that her uncle was against General Yahya Khan. Ahmad Saleem's niece said to her mother, "So Yahya Khan would have written a poem against his uncle, why did he get arrested? Ahmad Salim's book also revealed that if Sheikh Mujibur Rahman came to Karachi after being released from the Tala conspiracy case, then GM Syed told him that Agha Ghulam Nabi, Ayub Khoro, and Pir Ali Muhammad Include Rashidi in your party. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman replied that they are all big feudal. Awami League is a middle-class party. I want to include the famous poet of Sindh Sheikh Ayaz in my party.

After some time, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman sent his friend Qazi Faiz Muhammad to Sheikh Ayaz and then this great poet of Sindh joined the Awami League. It is thought that Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had planned to separate from Pakistan. If they were, then why were they crazy about Sindh poet Sheikh Ayaz and Punjab poet Habib Jalib?

In Ahmad Salim's book, the story of the provincial disempowerment of Balochistan is also described in great detail. The kind of deception that was done to the Bengalis was also done to the people of Balochistan. (Andaman Islands). When Pakistan became Pakistan, armed resistance started after the arrest of Khan of Kalat. 85-year-old Nawab Nowroz Khan also went to the mountains. Brigadier Riyaz Hussain sent a Jirga to bring them back and the Jirga gave the old Baloch chief a Qur'an to come down from the mountains and negotiate with the government. The old Baloch came down out of respect for the Qur'an but was arrested. He was brutally tortured in Quetta and Mach prisons. His sons and companions were hanged by military court and he died in Hyderabad Jail on 25 December 1965 at the age of ninety. He was not a stranger, he was a Muslim elder. There was no injustice. Injustice made the Bengalis strangers and today injustice is being done to the Balochs. Injustice makes them strangers. Do not do to Baloch what was done to Bengalis.
